Martian paramilitary forces along with local private security conducted a joint operation on a known terrorist outpost in the Borealis region effectively eliminating all enemy presence. Authorities estimate that nearly 20% of all weapons trafficking in mars northern hemisphere has been routed through the outpost. The sting followed the fatal blast that took the lives of nearly 40 people in last weeks terrorists attack on a provisions bunker in the Solis Planum district.
Richard Mohr the chief director of joint operations of MMF speculates that the victory paves the roadway to a more productive and peaceful mars.
"We see a lot of funding from sympathetic supporters on earth sending weapons and equipment to the free mars initiative, to the mars worker movement. These people have no idea whats really going on here, they are essentially putting guns into the hands of woman and children. The same people who enjoy the amenities that mars based energy and minerals afford them. We don't estimate mars to be free of separatists and terrorism anytime soon, but we expect a decrease in hostile attacks to Martian corporate property in the next year."
While mars security forces remain confident in their ability to handle the attacks, shareholders on earth are not so optimistic and are not swayed by the 5% increase in Martian mineral stocks. Several large corporations have been recruiting mercenaries and paramilitary for the purpose of protecting their interests while local Martians ready themselves for retaliation from terrorists.
