Mars Comsec division said Friday afternoon that hackers may have stolen personal and classified information on the 1.3 million registered citizens in the Borealis region.
The compromised citizen ID's were in addition to the 12 million registered citizens throughout the southern hemisphere of Martian based colonization, which was stolen between May 10 and May 15.
Additionally, the hackers were able to access corporate credit payroll data from 17,000 users as well as 4,800 private security accounts. The hacking impacted both Martian Citizens as well as Terrestrial investors such as Monolith Technologies and Caliban Inc.
A Lowell Region Company suspended its credit and payroll services Thursday because of an intrusion into their mainframe. It had already shutdown main lines to its subsidiaries on May 29.
VASC Comsec along with hired forensic detectives are continuing to investigate the extent of corporate information compromised by the hackers who remain anonymous. A process which could yield additional implications towards dummy corps and off planet credit exchanges, over the next few weeks.
